Polio Dine Around 2015
Our club will be holding a fundraiser to benefit Rotary’s PolioPlus fund at the end of October (World Polio Day is October 23). You are invited to sign up to dine at the home of one of your fellow Rotarians along with a half dozen or so of your fellow Rotarians. To maximize attendance, we are offering you a choice of Saturday or Sunday.
The cost is $25 per person – or if you are inclined and able, you are welcome to give more to End Polio Now.
As you all know, we are “this close” to eradicating the crippling disease of polio. The tragic outbreak of ebola in Africa has the potential to divert attention and resources from the final push necessary to crush this disease. So it’s more important than ever that we not let up in our support of the efforts of Rotary and its partner organizations to rid polio from the earth. At each dinner, we encourage everyone to take a group photo of the guests making the “this close” sign so we can share them on our club and district websites.
We think this will be a really fun way to get to know your fellow Rotarians a little better and build camaraderie as we head into our club’s busiest time (Tree Sale!). We hope that you will be able to join us.
