Bug Light Re-Lighting

Led by Jack Roberts, our club has played the key leadership role in both the restoration and the recommissioning of Bug Light.

Under Jack Roberts' Club Presidency in 1989, our club raised and donated the seed monies for the initial restoration effort.

This year, club member Peter Cotter and his Two Lights Painting Company cleaned and re-painted the entire interior and exterior of Bug Light at cost - with our club paying the cost.

Through the efforts of our own Tom Meyers and active duty Coast Guard leaders, a new light and ventilation ball were found to restore Bug Light to an operational status not seen since before World War II.

Once more, Bug Light is an operating light!
