Harold Fralich was selected as Chairman of the District's Rotary Foundation Committee for the current year. 

Dues were increased to $90 per year and the cost of the meal increased to $4.50.

Senator George Mitchell was our speaker on July 1.

District Governor Jerry Fecteau from Quebec visited the club on July 29.

Our annual Clambake with the ladies was held at Two Lights State Park on August 19.

Rick Milliken, a teacher in the South Portland Schools, and our District Scholarship Winner departed for the University of Cork in Ireland early in September.

The Annual Senior Citizen Christmas Party was held on December 16, with entertainment by the Lyric Theatre.
 
Profit from the Christmas Tree Sale was $9,100.

The meeting of April 7 was cancelled due to a 16 inch snowfall. This broke a record that stood since 1906.

Sons and Daughters night was observed on April 21, with a magician for entertainment.
