Announcement about postponement
Due to the storm on Friday into Saturday., we have decided to postpone Winterfest to our storm date of February 6 & 7.  The schedule will remain the same.
 
We made this decision  based on a number of issues.  Tomorrow's storm will eliminate the City's Parks crew from maintaining the ice at both locations for the weekend, which in turn would eliminate many of our events!  The Parks team are the guys that work behind the scene to make Winterfest happen.  During a storm, their priority is to keep roads, parking lots and walkways open and safe for the community.
 
In addition we feel the imminent messy weather, will impede our ability to provide the community with a quality event.   This, combined with the extra strain that has been put on City staff and  community resources, due to the  cleanup of the Blizzard of  2015, leaves us no choice but to postpone.
