On Thursday, April 28th, the Club's team won a heavily contested annual fund-raiser Spelling Bee organized by the Cape Elizabeth Education Foundation.

Shown below versus the other finalists, the SP/CE Club team beat 34 teams to win this fun and exciting event.

David Lourie, Jack Kennealy, and Wayne Goodrich had strong moral support from President Frank, Nancy Hawes, and Thurston Holt - who nervously watched the tense drama play out. Below, the winners are shown with their 24K gold trophies. A big night for "maturity!" Of course, the trophies will be melted down and given to the Rotary Foundation - right?
