Mike McGovern Nominated
to be R.I. Director!

On Monday, September 20, the Zone 31 Nominating Committee for Director announced that they selected Michael K. McGovern of the Rotary Club of South Portland/Cape Elizabeth, Maine as their Nominee for R.I. Director for a two year term during 2006-8.

If Mike is not challenged in accordance with the R.I. Bylaws by December 1, 2004, the President of Rotary International will declare him to be the official nominee for that position and he will be elected at the Chicago Convention.

Congratulations, Mike!

Mike has served, with distinction and great success, as President of our Club and as District Governor of District 7780. He has also served R.I. nationally in several capacities.

But most importantly, Mike is a good friend, a kind and considerate man, an incredibly hard worker, and a terrific facilitator. We are proud to know him. We applaud his latest and well deserved achievement!

As of Dec. 1, Mike's nomination has been confirmed. The President of Rotary International has declared Mike to be the official nominee for Zone 31 Director and he will be elected at the Chicago Convention.
